The Village Market

         Today is Sunday. Mohan Nath is taking the children to the village market. They are Barun, Kanak and Neeta.

Neeta: Why are so many people here?

Father: Today is the market day. People come here to buy and sell goods.

Kanak: Father, look at the man over there. Who is he?

Father: He is a farmer. He grows vegetables. He is selling fresh vegetables.

Barun: Look at that woman. What is she selling?

Father: She is selling fans. She makes them herself.

Kanak: See, the fans are very colourful. 

Father :They are made of bamboo.

Neeta: Here is a cobbler. Will you mend my shoe?

Cobbler : Alright, my child, I will mend it in five minutes.

Barun: Father, we are hungry. Let's have some bananas and guavas.

Father: Alright, let's have some sweets also.

Neeta: Father, you drink tea. We will drink milk.

Father : Alright, have some hot milk. Milk is good for health

Kanak: No, I will eat ice-cream.

All of them go to the Snacks Corner.
